Engineering for Disaster Mitigation
Develop research and engineering actions for disaster mitigation, including but not limited to risk reduction, planning and regulations, structural and infrastructure design, community protection, and education and awareness programs.
Engineering for Disaster Response
Develop research and engineering actions for disaster response, including but not limited to mapping affected areas, implementation of contingency and emergency plans, search and rescue, procurement, transportation and distribution of resources, and operation demobilization.
Engineering Across the Disaster Life Cycle
Develop research and engineering actions for multiple phases of the disaster life cycle, strongly focusing on at least two phases among mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
Engineering for Disaster Preparedness
Develop research and engineering actions for disaster preparedness, including but not limited to topics such as contingency plans, emergency plans, kit definition, facility location, resources procurement and pre-positioning.
Engineering for Disaster Recovery
Develop research and engineering actions for disaster recovery, including but not limited to waste and debris management, infrastructure reconstruction, and socioeconomic rebuilding.
